Azotea
Rooftop restaurant and bar of Hotel República Pagana, a block off the Malecón
Note: The rooftop restaurant and bar of Hotel República Pagana.
Azotea is the rooftop restaurant and bar of Hotel República Pagana, a boutique art hotel at Belisario Domínguez 387 in the centre of La Paz, a block from the Malecón. The terrace is known for its curving, sculptural architecture in neutral tones, and for the sunset over the bay. It opened in early 2024, and its kitchen is directed by chef Alejandro Villagómez, who also runs Quemadero, NEMI and OSO.
It serves breakfast until midday, with dishes such as avocado toast with egg and chilaquiles. From 1 PM the menu turns to lunch and dinner: seafood like grilled shrimp, and a beef burger with fries. The bar serves cold beer and classic and signature cocktails, and DJs play in the evening.
It is open every day from 8 AM to midnight. Reservations are needed, especially around sunset; book on OpenTable or by phone.
