Golf in La Paz — Where the Links Meet the Sea

The name La Paz Links is no accident. La Paz is home to two championship courses — including Paraíso del Mar, Mexico's first true links course, and El Cortes Golf Club, a Gary Player Signature layout perched above the Sea of Cortez. World-class golf, far beyond Cabo, without the crowds.

No tee time required to read — full course guides below, with yardages, green fees, designer profiles, and everything you need to plan a round.

Why Golf in La Paz?

Beyond Cabo — No Crowds

La Paz sits 2.5 hours north of Cabo San Lucas, far enough that most golf tourists never make the trip. You will not fight for tee times or share fairways with bachelor parties.

Two Entirely Different Experiences

Links golf at Paraíso del Mar — coastal wind, firm turf, and a double green lifted from St Andrews. Resort golf at El Cortes — dramatic elevation drops and 200-foot tee boxes above the sea. Back-to-back rounds make for a compelling golf trip.

The Ferry Factor

Paraíso del Mar sits on El Mogote, a pristine peninsula reachable only by a complimentary 7-minute ferry from the Malecón. No other course in Mexico arrives by water.

Year-Round Season

La Paz averages 300+ sunny days per year. Peak golf season runs October through May when temperatures are mild and the desert light is extraordinary. Summer rounds start early.

Marine Life at Every Turn

Whale sharks arrive in the bay from October through March — the same months you're teeing off at Paraíso del Mar. A morning round and an afternoon snorkel with whale sharks is a legitimate La Paz day.

Audubon Certified

Paraíso del Mar is Mexico's first Audubon Signature Sanctuary golf course — designed to protect the unique desert and coastal ecosystems of El Mogote. Wildlife, not pesticides, manage the rough.

Getting to the Courses

Paraíso del Mar — By Ferry
