Marina de La Paz

Marina de La Paz is the most well-known cruising marina in the city, and for many long-distance sailors arriving from the Pacific or the Sea of Cortez, it is the definitive La Paz destination. Located in the Barrio Manglito neighborhood just south of downtown, it sits within easy walking distance of the Malecón, restaurants, provisioning stores, and city services.

The marina accommodates approximately 110–120 slips for vessels ranging from 30 to 200 feet, including superyachts. Facilities are comprehensive: fuel dock, pump-out, shore power (30A and 50A), potable reverse-osmosis water, laundry, showers, security, chandlery, and basic repair access. An on-site restaurant makes it practical to stay aboard without cooking every night.

Marina de La Paz has a particularly active cruising community — it serves as a hub for the liveaboard and passage-making crowd who winter in La Paz before heading north up the Sea of Cortez or continuing south toward the Panama Canal. The staff are experienced with the needs of long-distance cruisers and the surrounding neighborhood has evolved to serve that community well.
