Non-Profits & Community Organizations in La Paz, Mexico
La Paz has a tight-knit community of nonprofit organizations that punch well above their weight, largely because of the unusually engaged expat and sailing community that winters here. The Club Cruceros network connects cruisers with local causes; FANLAP has been feeding and educating La Paz children since 1996; and several animal welfare groups are making measurable progress on the city's stray animal population.

Expat Community Networks
Beyond registered nonprofits, La Paz has several informal expat community hubs where most people actually plug in to local life:
Club Cruceros Morning Net
VHF Channel 22, 8:00 AM daily. The cruising community's primary information-sharing channel — weather, assistance requests, local services. Coffee at the clubhouse follows at 9:30 AM, Mon–Sat.
Facebook Groups
Active English-language communities on Facebook include groups for La Paz expats, events, and Spanglish social meetups. Names and activity levels change — search “La Paz BCS expat” to find current groups.
