Information collected automatically
When you visit the site, our hosting provider and our analytics, advertising, and affiliate partners automatically receive technical information, including:

Trip Planning Inquiries
When you submit a trip planning inquiry via /plan-your-trip/, you are asking for help arranging travel in La Paz. To connect you with providers who can assist, we may share your inquiry details, including name, email, travel dates, group size, and stated interests, with relevant La Paz-based tour operators, travel agents, or activity providers.
By submitting the trip planning form, you consent to this sharing. If you do not want your inquiry shared with third-party providers, use the general contact form at /contact/ instead.
Medical Tourism Inquiries
The quote form on our medical tourism article collects health-related information. We send these inquiries to our healthcare coordinator partner, We'll Assist Health, so they can contact you with a quote. Their handling of your information is governed by their own privacy policy.
We use this information only to pass your request to the coordinator and to follow up on it. We never use it for advertising, and we do not share it with any other party except as required by law. Health information is sensitive personal data, so the form cannot be sent until you tick a box giving your express consent to this use and sharing. Only provide the health details you are comfortable sharing. To withdraw your consent or have your submission deleted, contact us (see Your Rights below).
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site, such as which pages are popular and how people arrive. Google Analytics sets cookies and collects usage data, which Google processes under its own policies. We look at this data in aggregate to improve the site; we do not use it to identify individual visitors.
Advertising

We use Stay22, a travel affiliate service, across the site. Stay22's script may convert links to travel booking sites into affiliate links and add affiliate links to travel-related text. To do this and to attribute bookings, Stay22 collects technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, time zone, and approximate region, and uses cookies. When you click through and book, the booking site and Stay22 may record that booking. Stay22 and each merchant handle that data under their own privacy policies.
Data Retention and Security
We keep form submissions for as long as needed to respond to your inquiry and for a reasonable period afterward, then delete them. Data collected by Google, Stay22, and our other providers is kept according to their own retention policies and settings.
The site is served only over encrypted HTTPS connections, and we limit access to form submissions to the people who need them. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your Rights
You can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it, and you can withdraw consent you previously gave. Children's Privacy
This site is meant for adults planning travel or a move to La Paz. It is not directed to children under 13, or under 16 in the European Union and United Kingdom, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
