Cosmos Tostadores de Café
Downtown specialty roaster named among Mexico's 100 best coffee shops in 2025
Note: On Google as "Cafetería y Tostadora Cosmos".
Cosmos Tostadores de Café is a small specialty coffee roaster and café in the Centro, at Calle Héroes de Independencia 213. It is a family project that opened at the start of 2025, and within its first year it was named in The Best Coffee Shops México 2025, a national list of the country's 100 best coffee shops.
The coffee is roasted on site, mainly from Veracruz beans, with other Mexican origins in its range. The blends carry space names, such as Big Bang, Calisto and Ío, and the roaster also does special editions with La Nebulosa Specialty Coffee. Bags of beans are sold in the café and through its online shop.
It is a coffee-first place rather than a restaurant: the one to pick if you want to taste Mexican specialty coffee made by people who roast it. It is open every day from 7:30 in the morning to 9 at night, and rates 4.9 stars on Google.

Cosmos describes itself as a family project born in 2024 to offer exceptional coffees of Mexican origin. It opened its doors in January 2025 and the same year was selected for The Best Coffee Shops México 2025, a ranking of the 100 best coffee shops in the country.
Its roasting area is part of the café, and the beans currently come mainly from Veracruz, with plans to add origins from other parts of the world.
