Soriana Híper La Paz

Soriana Híper La Paz is one of the city's main full-service supermarkets, located on Boulevard Forjadores de Sudcalifornia at Luis Donaldo Colosio, in Ex Base Aérea. Soriana is a major Mexican retail chain and its La Paz hypermarket is a genuine competitor to Walmart — similar in scale and selection, with a notably strong fresh produce section and a well-regarded in-store deli and tortillería.

For expats and long-term residents, Soriana is often preferred over Walmart for fresh items. The layout is somewhat more compact and easier to navigate than La Paz's Walmart, and the location on Forjadores makes it more convenient for residents in the southern and central parts of the city.

Soriana's pharmacy counter stocks a solid range of common medications. The bakery section (panadería) typically offers fresh pan dulce and bolillos daily — a La Paz staple.

One practical note: Soriana's loyalty card (Club Soriana) provides discounts and points accumulation that add up quickly for regular shoppers.
