Chedraui La Paz

Chedraui is one of Mexico's major supermarket chains, and its La Paz location operates in the Chedraui Selecto format — a slightly more premium positioning than standard Chedraui stores, with a stronger selection of imported goods, specialty items, and prepared foods.

Chedraui has three full-size stores in La Paz. The Pueblo Nuevo store is on Calle Colima, between Mariano Abasolo and Francisco I. Madero, more central than the Walmart and Sam's Club on Olachea. Chedraui Centro, at Isabel la Católica 1915 between Nicolás Bravo and Antonio Rosales, across from the Palacio de Gobierno, is the closest of the three for anyone staying downtown; it was an Aramburo until the chain became Chedraui. Chedraui Santa Fe is at Blvd. Pino Pallas 105, next to Blvd. Santa Rosa, in Fraccionamiento Santa Fe on the south side of the city. Downtown there is also Chedraui Supercito Selecto La Paz Madero, a smaller store at Madero and Hidalgo that was the original Aramburo.

Chedraui Selecto stores typically carry a wider selection of imported products than standard Mexican supermarkets — useful for expats looking for items from the US or international brands. Wine and spirits sections at Chedraui Selecto locations are generally well-stocked.

Formerly Aramburo: Chedraui acquired La Paz's Aramburo supermarket chain in early 2025, and the Aramburo stores have transitioned to Chedraui. Both downtown Chedrauis, Centro and the Madero Supercito, are former Aramburo stores.
