Secretaría General de Gobierno del Estado de Baja California Sur

Baja California Sur's General Secretariat of Government — the state's main governance office, in downtown La Paz

The Secretaría General de Gobierno (General Secretariat of Government) is the main governance office of the Gobierno del Estado de Baja California Sur, the state government headed by Governor Víctor Manuel Castro Cosío (term to September 2027). La Paz is the state capital, and the Secretariat's offices are downtown at Isabel La Católica and Ignacio Allende, in the Colonia Centro.

The Secretariat coordinates a range of state bodies and services, including the criminal justice system, the labour arbitration tribunal, the public defender's office, child-protection and victims' legal services, the state search commission for missing persons, regulatory improvement and public consultations, the electronic files for real estate agents, and electronic kiosks for state procedures.

For most everyday state procedures, start at the state portal bcs.gob.mx (Trámites y Servicios). Office hours aren't published, so call the state switchboard and ask for the Secretaría General de Gobierno.
