Taco Fish La Paz
Battered fish and shrimp tacos on the Malecón and in the Centro — a family business since 1992
Taco Fish La Paz makes fish and shrimp tacos, the battered kind La Paz is known for. It is a family business going since 1992, with branches in Guadalajara and two in La Paz. The Malecón branch is on the corner of Paseo Álvaro Obregón and Torres Iglesias in El Esterito, where Rin Rin Pizza used to be, with outdoor tables. The other is in the Centro, on the corner of Márquez de León and Héroes de Independencia.
Beyond the classic fish and shrimp tacos there are tacos dorados with shrimp, crab or manta ray, the torito (a güero chile stuffed with shrimp or marlin), burritos and quesadillas with smoked marlin, shrimp or octopus, marlin-and-shrimp empanadas, and fish or shrimp ceviche.
Both branches serve breakfast and lunch, from Tuesday to Sunday, and close on Monday. The Malecón branch is open 9 AM to 5 PM and the Centro branch 8:30 AM to 4 PM. Diners on Google report spending about $200–300 pesos per person.
