Harker Board Co.
Rooftop restaurant and bar across from the Malecón, with SUP and kayak rentals
Harker Board Co. is a restaurant, bar and board shop in a historic house on Paseo Álvaro Obregón, across the street from the Malecón in the Centro. Its two-level rooftop terrace looks straight out over the Malecón and the Bay of La Paz, and the hour before sunset is its busiest time of day.
The kitchen is casual: oven-baked pizzas and calzones, burgers with fries or salad, red or green chilaquiles, tacos, wings, nachos and burritos. The bar pours local craft beer from Baja California Sur, including a flight of six 5 oz samples, along with margaritas and mezcalitos.
The "Board Co." side of the business rents stand-up paddleboards (SUP) and kayaks for paddling the bay. No reservation is needed, and questions about a terrace table or a rental can be sent by WhatsApp. Bills can't be split, and an invoice (factura) has to be requested at the time of the meal.
It is open Tuesday to Sunday from 3:30 to 11 PM and closed on Mondays.
