A family restaurant since 1981

The family behind Nuevo Pekín says it began with one hard-working man who emigrated from far away, settled in La Paz and, with his wife, opened Restaurant Nuevo Pekín in 1981.

In 1994, seeing the restaurant's location and the city's need for places to stay, they built Hotel Pekín beside it, starting with 10 rooms. The hotel and the restaurant are still a family business.
